What is Fibroblast Skin Tightening?

Fibroblast Skin Tightening is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that is a game changer in beauty industry and produces exceptional tightening of the skin and regeneration of collagen without surgery. This technology has been used in the medical field and in Europe for decades and is completely safe.

When the fibroblast pen tip is held close to the skin, an arc is created producing energy that is targeted deep within the skins tissue.  This unique treatment produces amazing results without ever touching the skin surface.  As we age, our fibroblast cells don't function as optimally as they use to.  This is where we can offer a little help.

Advantages For Skin Tightening:

  • skin remains intact, no scalpels or cutting

  • no unsightly stitches

  • minimal risk or side effects

  • no downtime

  • much less than surgery

Some Important Questions!

How long will the results of the treatment last?

The results of the Fibroblast Skin Tightening treatment can last an average of 2-5 years and in some results may be permanent!  This will not stop the aging process, just improves it!

How long do the dots last? The dots will shed within 3-7 days.  You receive a COMPLIMENTARY  3-step take home kit that will help the skin over the course of 6-8 weeks.

Please Note:

*African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, Asians, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and individuals of Middle Eastern descent are more likely to have issues with  hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. Hypopigmentation is a condition where the skin loses pigment in response to trauma. Hyperpigmentation is an increase in melanin output due to skin injury or inflammation. Clients in Fitzpatrick skin types III and up are at risk for this response. This procedure is not recommended for Fitzpatrick skin types V and VI because of a tendency to scar white or pink in these skin types.

You may TEST for hyperpigmentation by administering a small amount of fibroblasts to a low visibility area.

Let's Talk Collagen!

There are 18 subtypes of collagen but 2 we will focus on here.
Type I: provides tensile strength in dense connective tissues of the dermis (reticular layer), tendons and ligaments, also in loose supportive tissue (papillary layer) and bone.  The most abundant form found in the dermis is Type I collagen, which constitutes 90 % of the total collagen in the body.

Type III: it is found in reticular fibers and helps with wound healing. Collagen fibers are a major component of the extracellular matrix of connective tissue, particularly the dense irregular connective tissue found in the dermis of the skin, tendons and ligaments. During wound healing, Type III collagen initially appears in the wound about four days after the injury. Wound collagen or Type III collagen is immature collagen tissue and does not provide a great deal of tensile strength. It takes approximately three months for Type III collagen to mature into Type I collagen.

Considerations for your appointment
Anemia - clients that are anemic may experience longer healing times.

Botox/Fillers - it is recommended to wait at least 3 weeks from receiving injections to have this service performed.  It is preferable to have Fibroblast Skin Tightening done PRIOR to botox.

Contact Lenses - must be removed prior to any treatment close to the eye and CANNOT be used for 3 days post service.

Epilepsy - if it has been at least 2 years since, it is best to have someone accompany you to your appointment.  Seizures can be triggered by a variety of situations.

Lasik - clients should wait a minimum of 8-12 weeks before receiving this service.

Shingles - it is best to wait a minimum of 6 months after a shingles episode.

Blood Thinning medications/supplements -

• Ibuprofen

• Turmeric

• Ginger

• Cayenne peppers

• Vitamin E

• Dong quai

• Feverfew

• Garlic
• Cassia cinnamon
• Ginkgo biloba
• Grape seed extract

• Aspirin

• Niacin

There are two main concerns with blood thinning substances. First, bruising is more common in individuals with thinner blood. Second, thinner blood may affect plasma coagulation which could affect healing and lead to less pleasing results.   Blood thinning medications/supplements will not rule out this service but can increase the time needed for the healing process.  If possible, discontinue 3 days prior if your doctor says its safe to do so.

Alcohol should be avoided 3 days prior as it can also thin the blood. Caffeine should also be avoided 24 hours before and the day of.  Of course, these are suggestions to help you achieve the best possible result.
